The power of Affirmation

One of the most effective parts of my husband and I’s relationship is when we wake up every morning and proclaim Gods promises in our life. Instead of waking up and saying I’m still sleepy, tired, or express how much we are not looking forward to work. We instead came together and made a family affirmation for not only ourselves but our kids as well. Feel free to use this. Peace

Today is going to be a great day. We serve the one and only true God who is victorious in all things great and small. Through Him, by Him and in Him we have the victory today of sin, sickness, death, poverty, and all of His schemes…. Then we pray.

God’s love is not complicated. Come together with someone you love and make an affirmation, I guarantee it will change the course of your day!

Watch your mouth!

Proverbs 18:21King James Version (KJV)
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
In a life-cycle, many of us wonder why there may be a constant wheel of destruction pedaling around our existence. Before you jump off of the hamster wheel or wave the white flag, I must pose a question. Have you brought life to the negativity by sharing it to everyone who will hear, or have you taken a negative situation and brought Gods word to the equation propelling life in front of the circumstance?
It’s easy to be speak negativity, but it takes strength and discipline to keep quiet and only say the things you want to prosper. God has given each and every one of us the ability to bring life and death into our world through our mouths. Meaning, what we say matters!

It’s not easy, but controlling what comes out of your mouth will literally change your life. When something negative accords, look at the situation ask God what you should do. After that, we really have no need of mentioning the situation again unless we are seeking outside of God for an answer. If we are looking to people, and not solely on God, then you have the answer to why your life is in shambles. Council is appropriate, when it’s what God wants you to do, but most times we seek and value others opinion over Gods word.  Make the pledge today to speak positivity and I guarantee it will change the path of your life forever. Peace.

I’m falling apart

The transitions of life can sometimes make us feel as if life is a broken bread crumb, falling apart with every indulgence. In life seasons, time may tornado one situation after the next into ones hands, but that’s when we need to delve into inspection mode. Confusion and frustration should inspire inspection, determine if there are too many elements floating around your world; incautiously causing focus to change from the heart of God to getting “things” done. Frustration will happen in life, but we must remember how to get back to the basics. Get quiet time with God, meditation, where you do nothing other than focus on the heartbeat of our creator. When you take time with God, He then will show you light through your confusion; and the pieces of your world will come back together as they were intended to be.  Peace.

What would you look like if you lived how you dreamed? Imagine living fearlessly… No deferment, fear of failure, or opinion weighing your determination down. When you decide to be fearlessly you, the world will become your platform and not the mountain to climb. Stop excusing your greatness and live the life God has given you; acknowledge your gift, cultivate it, then live it! Why not…your future is waiting for you! peace

Know your Seasons

There are times where you feel like the world around you is filled with lemon drops and lilies,But, there are some seasons where you feel like it is a struggle just to keep your head above water. It’s important for you to know that God is with you through every season of your life. It’s pleasurable to be in a season where the suns illuminates your face; but you have to stay strong for the stormy nights that may seem to cloud your thoughts, prayers and day. Know that hard times will not last too long, the tortuous season is creating in you a clean heart, and a stronger mind so that when your next victory comes along… you’ll be strong enough to handle it. Being in a stormy season doesn’t mean you’re outside of the will of God, it signifies the need to buckle down and gear up for the amazing future God has in mind for you. Don’t look for a way out of your next storm, ask God for a clear path through. Peace

Acknowledge the Win

Do you know when you have won in life? Sometimes we can be so engulfed with success, we fail to acknowledge the battles we have won. If you look at life today, have you overcome struggles, conquered a bad habit, or paid off a debt you thought would never go away? Well then it’s time to lift up your head and be thankful! Acknowledge your win and tell God you appreciate what He has done in your life; whether you made it to work on time, or published your first book… it deserves to be celebrated. If no one else noticed, or has told you yet… I am proud of you! In God there is victory, and my friend we are winning.

Life can be a Circus!

2ec36f651750f19936dd95facdb5f266What is one of the secrets to success? Discipline. Don’t be afraid to put yourself on a schedule. Sometimes we work so hard to be off of the “clock” when time is crucial to prevail in life. If you can control your time, you can narrow the street you’re walking on, neglecting unnecessary distractions that will come up in life to deter you from your goal. If you can learn to structure yourself, life will have less room to do it for you. Write down the events of one day, I guarantee you would be surprised at how time is used in one day. If the majority of your time is not spent on your gift or passion, it’s time to reorganize; plan out who you want to be and be it. Peace.

Turn it around!

68868e6b28b109b2040c5318daf8325cPraise and worship are incredible weapons in this spiritual war we are fighting. Personally, I have a playlist labeled “No you wont” and when the devil is coming at me with both barrels loaded, I play my selected songs and the battle begins. Out of my mouth comes affirmations about how great God is, and how wonderfully He made us. The freedom to enjoy my day expels out of my mouth and elevates my spirit until it is in union with the Holy Spirit. You see, the devil wants you to be stressed and hopeless, but the beauty in praise and worship blossoms the reality of how great God is; moving the focus from our problem to the hands of The Almighty God who has the power to turn it all around! Make a playlist today go to war. Don’t just sit there, its time for spiritual battle! Peace

Its ok to be wrong…

I have to admit something… today was a roller coaster…situation after situation came as if the devil didn’t want me to mentally rest. You see the enemy wants you to feel as if you’re overwhelmed, or bogged down with the responsibility of doing right. Well I’m here to tell you right now the DEVIL is a LIAR! For me, the cherry on top of this crazy day was loosing something of importance. I don’t know about you, but loosing something on an already stressful day is really frustrating, BUT I had the opportunity to make the devil look like the fool he is. Instead of having a melt down I admitted that I messed up and lost something today. I’m telling you this because, No matter what, we must look at God for direction, even if that direction is down the path of apologies and making mistakes. We as Christians are not above fault. Don’t allow the devil to convince you that you do not mess up, we need God each and every day, and when we are able to acknowledge that even at our best we are still not worthy of the love of God, then we have won for the day. We all make mistakes, no one is perfect… but we serve a perfect God. Never loose sight of that, there is incredible strength in being humble. Peace

Just when the day seems long and possibly stressful lol hubby comes in and saves the day :-) #truelove #justbecause #ilovemyhusband

What have you done for me LATELY!?!

There is so much power in consistency. When I was young my mother and father always used the quote      ” fortune is in the follow up” why… because the greatest step to success is not innovation but FOLLOW THROUGH. Anyone and everyone has an idea, dream, or aspiration. But, it will only be the one who refused to give up that makes it to the end victorious. The famous song” what have you done for me lately” said yes, you may have done well in the past, but can you be consistent? Where is the fruit of your current labor? The story of the tortoise and the hare sends what message…. the turtle would not stop, he chose consistency, and won. Today I challenge you to be consistent with yourself. If you made a goal to drink more water, drink water, if you said this year you will go to the gym… work it out. Do what you plan to do and don’t stop until the goal is met and you are finished! peace

Check your blind spot

There is always time in life for reflection. Sometimes we can make a habit of looking to the left and right when things aren’t going the way we intended or planned; but I have a challenge for you today. Check your “blind spot”, look in that lazy, ugly, unspeakable place in your life and see if you are the greatest contributor to your own demise. Is it your lack of commitment to reading, lack of dedication to praying, need to gossip about anyone at any time… that holds you back from the next level? As human beings we are so accustomed to predicting the traffic of life, we often leave precaution to the wind and drive. We stop valuing the potential of danger or distraction that awaits our laziness. Today, don’t just be content getting from point A to point B; be intentional, specific, cautious, and drive your dreams with the attention it deserves. peace

Amazing song!

What’s your motivation?  It’s important to not only  identify but tune into  your inspiration. Know what makes you smile, drives you, pushes you to be your best. Statistics  show it takes 21 days to create a habit, so once you identify your “positive pusher” as I like to call it, dedicate yourself to 21 days of indulgences. Set time aside to intentionally smile and be inspired. Then, once inspiration becomes habit, change the world with your inspiration. Peace

Do you dream?

What does your dreams look like… do you know? Is it something in your head or something tangible you can put your hand on? This week I was face with a life changing moment and the question God presented to me was “are our ready for it”.  Sometimes we put God in a box and we don’t realize it. Writing out your dreams and aspirations puts action behind your purpose. Have a plan, then infuse your faith with practical works. God is bigger than your bills, car, and other expenses. God wants to change your life and lifestyle, but are you in a position to receive those blessings? Take time out today and make a plan. God loves you and wants the best for, but you have to get out of your comfort zone and into preparation mode today. peace

Who are you now???

The struggling you is not the ugly you or the weaker you, it’s a beautiful you. So many times we hold on to who we once were or who we could be and reject who we are now. Then, when we achieve the next level, we can’t appreciate the success because we are constantly rejecting who we are now for the person of the future. Guess what… your pain, struggle, anguish and frustration are the weights you lift to make you strong enough to handle the best. The process is incredible, don’t hide behind it. If you embrace the process you give way for opportunity, inspiration, and encouragement. Be who you is, with no apologies!

The power of a Mentor

Innovation is amazing, but without direction you may be spinning a wheel twice as hard as you have to. The word of God says there is nothing new under the sun, so your dream while fresh, may be accomplished by watching someone who has been in your place before. Having a mentor is humbling, it allows an unbiased opinion on what matters most, your purpose and ambition. I am thankful for the wonderful people who have gone before me, and long ago I made the decision to put pride aside and find someone who is doing what I want to do and follow the pattern. #gogetyourblessing #intimacychurch #learning is growing
